From the moment we arrived, we knew the Fairmont Royal Pavilion was something special. Sitting on the most beautiful beach in Barbados, this tropical oasis is a boutique property with the friendliest, most genuine staff. They exude sunshine and warmth, and we could not have had a more wonderful time. There is no doubt we will return in the future!

Our room was an absolute dream, with the turquoise sea right at our toes. It made catching the sunrise easy, and enjoying the sun from our own terrace the very best. There were so many thoughtful touches, too – from the stuffed turtles for Riley Ann, to the 5:30pm delivery of daily canapes. Yum!

(Also these robes – literally the best! We bought two to take home, and I have been wearing mine every, single night ha!)

As soon as we checked in, we went off to explore the hotel and grab some lunch. The property is beautiful – lush and vibrant and the perfect shade of pink. The food was sooo good as well. Jackfruit nachos, fish tacos, tuna avocado salad… so delicious!

We were so excited to catch our first Barbados sunset, and it did not disappoint. Golden light and warm water to dip in… nothing better than that.

The next morning, we hopped on a beautiful catamaran with the Fairmont Royal Pavilion team and the very best crew, and we all sailed around Barbados. We saw whales and swam with turtles – could not have been happier!

That evening, we also had one of the most romantic dates we could imagine – dinner right on the beach, under the stars. After a little dancing to the live band, we headed down to the most beautiful table in the sand, where the waves lulled Riley bean right to sleep. What a night!

On our last day, we just soaked up the sun, and swam as much as we could. With a couple naps in between. Already can’t wait to return!
