This past April, we road tripped up the coast and into Canada, all in pursuit of a wood-fired hot tub.
When: April 2016
Where: Kingston, New Brunswick, Canada

We set out early, stopping at Tandem Coffee for breakfast, Wasses for lunch, and continuing our journey up north.
We finally made it to our dream dome in the woods – complete with a wood-burning hot tub and a blanket of stars at night.
Typically, when we go camping, we pack a cooler and cook all of our meals over a fire. (Read: lots of hot dogs and s’mores). For this trip, we knew there was no outdoor fire pit, so we planned on heading into town for all of our meals. We didn’t realize how far most eateries would be, however, so we ended up at the one local restaurant for the entire weekend. Friendliest staff, homemade bread, comfort food galore – it was delicious and wonderful, but quite heavy for an entire weekend! I would recommend bringing some healthier snacks and fresh produce to munch on (Kredl’s is right on the way!), and still enjoying a meal or two at Reed’s. For general needs, there is also the Kingston General Store.
When we weren’t in the hot tub, we spent some time hiking and wandering about. We even stumbled upon a waterfall!
On Sunday, it was time to make our way back down the coast. We stopped off for more hot dogs in Rockland, and then for dinner at The Honey Paw in Portland.
Until next time, Canada!

Sara and I wanted to try Honey Paw but went to Eventide. Is it good? 🙂
Yes, we love it!!
Oh my gosh how perfect – that hot tub!
