When: July 2016
Where: Harwich, Cape Cod, Massachusetts
Stayed: Wequassett Resort & Golf Club
This past weekend, Matty and I checked into the Wequassett – though only a short ride from Boston, we immediately felt millions of miles away.
Our room had a beautiful view overlooking the water, complete with a soaking tub and fireplace. We enjoyed morning coffee on our patio, and roasted a few s’mores as well.
We kicked off the weekend at Libaytion, with live music playing as the sun went down.
We then headed into 28 Atlantic for dinner, where we enjoyed the most wonderful tasting menu. We started with scallop crudo and caviar, and ended with deconstructed cheesecake and brown butter ice cream. Thank you to our wonderful host, Tamas, for such a lovely and decadent experience!
In the morning, we took some paddle boards out for a spin, and then enjoyed another excellent feast at 28 Atlantic. The breakfast buffet is not to be missed! Not to mention those bloody mary’s…
Midday, we hopped on the boat and sped to North Beach Island, part of the National Seashore. The incredible kitchen packed us quite the picnic, and I highly recommend this excursion if you visit Wequassett. So much fun!
Back on the mainland, we lounged by the pool and soaked up the afternoon sun.
Until next time, Wequassett!
