Our second destination in Napa Valley was the beautiful Solage Calistoga!
When: April 2016
Where: Napa Valley, California
Stayed: Solage Calistoga
Upon check-in, we headed straight to the spa. With open-air spaces and geo-thermal pools, it was the perfect way to spend an afternoon. My mom and I both enjoyed a signature mudslide treatment, and boy, were they relaxing.
After the spa, we settled into our lovely room, complete with a patio and two cruisers. We scoped out the main pool, and then we had the most delicious meal at SolBar. So good, in fact, we headed right back in the morning!
After breakfast, Beau Wine Tours picked us up for a day of wine tasting. First stop: Hall Wines, for their ‘HALLmark tour.’ I loved the adirondack chairs lined up in front of the grapes, and we really enjoyed seeing so much art on the property.
Our second winery was Odette Estate, where winemaker Jeff Owens showed us around. We loved the minimalist design, and how the caves were nestled into the hills like hobbit homes.
Our final stop of the day was B. Cellars, where we enjoyed the ‘Oakville Trek.’ We got to wrangle a few chickens, eat strawberries off the vine, and were treated to the most delicious food pairings with our wine.
Back at Solage, we relaxed by the pools and soaked up every moment.
After that, it was time for our next destination: Napa Valley No. 3!
