- Previously, I shared our time in Chiang Mai and Ko Lanta. Today I will be sharing our third and final Thai destination – the turquoise island of Ko Samui.
When: March 2015
Where: Ko Samui, Thailand
Stayed: Banyan Tree Samui
We stayed at Banyan Tree Samui, an architectural beauty with stunning villas carved into the hillside. It was so blissful, we didn’t do much outside of our property! Instead, we chose to sunbathe, swim, eat, drink and visit the rainforest spa. Really relax and enjoy every sunny moment.
The sunrises and sunsets were dazzling. Like someone took a paintbrush to the sky each day.
The evening fire shows were pretty neat, too!
The one day-trip we did take was to visit the Ang Thong National Marine Park. As with the other tours we took from Ko Lanta, we wish a half-day tour had been an option, so we could have skipped out on the 3-hour lunch portion. It is definitely worth visiting the Marine Park, but if a half day tour presents itself, I would recommend that one.
It was the perfect end to the perfect trip, and we can’t wait to visit this beautiful country again in the future.
